Ding Dong, Internet Explorer is Dead

by James Duffell

Software giants Microsoft have announced the death of one of its most known products, Internet Explorer, with Internet Explorer 11 being the last release of probably the best known browser to have ever been released.

They’re not hanging around either; Tuesday (12th January 2015) will see the final browser patch, containing security fixes along with prompts to encourage users to upgrade to one of Microsofts more recent browsers such as Edge.

Once a solid browser, the old faithful within the web development community,  particularly with front end designers, the browser became the bane of their lives, with slicker alternatives such as Chrome from Google & Safari from Apple becoming the preferred choice.

So what does this mean for you? Well, if you use Internet Explorer, STOP! With no further security updates you’ll leave yourself/computer vulnerable.
