Social media giant Facebook has launched its messaging service as a standalone desktop website.
Messenger.com is the new gateway for the chat functionality that you can currently available from inside Facebook itself. Stripping everything you find on Facebook and purely leaving the chat functionality in the same manor as the Messenger Android, Windows Phone & iOS native applications.
After purchasing WhatsApp (one of the biggest chat applications) for a whopping £11.4bn, this could be leading the way for a possible future merge into the social giant’s plans for chat domination.
