That’s right, Facebook are releasing Facebook Gifts very soon.
The idea behind Facebook Gifts is that when you see an upcoming birthday of a friend, you can send them a lovely gift (a slight upgrade from a ‘Happy Birthday’ message left on their timeline).
Gifts are physical items which get shipped directly to a user’s door. If you’re worried about getting the gift wrong, don’t worry: once a gift is sent, the recipient will be notified and they’ll have the option to accept or decline. They can even change the colour or size depending on the item, meaning everyone’s happy (and also mitigates the issue of not knowing the size/preferences of the birthday boy or girl).
